Admission Exercise for 2022/2023 Session

The Shehu Shagari University of Education, Sokoto, the first University of Education in Northern Nigeria, announces the commencement of Admission Exercise for the 2022/2023 Session.

– Candidates for UTME Admission should have a minimum of five (5 ) O’level Credits ( in not more than two sittings) for the chosen course including English Language and Mathematics. This is in addition to the required JAMB score.

– Similarly, candidates for Direct Entry (D.E) Admission must have an NCE or Diploma or its equivalent with at least Lower Credit Grade or its equivalent and five O’level Credits in the chosen course including English Language and Mathematics.

Other Admission Requirements for both UTME and D.E. candidates are:

1. The JAMB subject combination chosen by the candidates as well as their O’level Credits must be appropriate for their desired course.

2. Candidates must have obtained a minimum score of 140 points in JAMB/ UTME.

3. Candidates must be at least Sixteen (16) years old.

Furthermore, candidates are required to change institution ( to Shehu Shagari University of Education) through the JAMB Portal as well as upload their O’level Examination Results.
